IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Because
of COVID-19, the last nine months of our normally busy convention
schedule have been decimated. Those of us who collect autographs have
had to collect through the mail, purchase online or take part in private
signings. During that time, my site SciFiActorAppearances.com,
has had to sit dormant because there were no upcoming shows. However,
that gave me the first break from regular updates in the site’s 12-year
history. That gave me the opportunity to see what I was missing...which
included more time with my family, projects that had lain dormant for
years (both fandom-related and around the house), my other collections
and actually watching the shows and films that inspired me to create
this site in the first place.
Twelve
years ago, I started this site as a list for myself because I wanted to
know where Star Trek actors would be appearing near me. Little did I
know that it would become a key resource for so many people and that it
would help so many meet the actors they idolized on screen. Little did I
know that it would lead to so many autographs for all of you and for
me...lol. And little did I know that it would lead to so many new
friendships and convention adventures!
So,
after 12 years and almost 7 million visitors, I am retiring from Sci-Fi
Actor Appearances. This time away from the site has made me realize
that there are other things I would like to do and other opportunities I
would like to pursue. And at this point I would like to thank all of
you who visited the site and used it to meet the actors and actresses
from these great franchises. I would like to thank those who sponsored
the site and those who did link exchanges that really helped launch it
at the beginning. And most of all, I would like to thank those of you
who contributed to the site, who made it what it is. Thank you so much
to those of you who sent in listings, show runners who would let me know
about their guests, and the actors and actresses themselves who would
tell me where they were appearing. And finally, thank you to my family
for putting up with my nose being in my laptop all of these years.
With
all that being said, my retirement does not mean that the site is
completely going away. I am leaving the Star Wars portion of the site in
the hands of someone very familiar to Star Wars autograph collectors
and a close friend, Frank Rich of Star Wars Autograph News. And I am
leaving the rest of the site in the hands of another close friend,
Justin Toney who ran a successful comic con in southwest Louisiana for
several years. Both of these men are very capable and very passionate
about conventions and the content that drives us to go there. I am sure
that the spirit of the site will be well taken care of. Please feel free
to contact them with new listings, info, questions and ideas. I am sure
they will be appreciative and receptive. I would like to thank the two
of them for being very open to me passing the baton to them to keep
Sci-Fi Actor Appearances alive.
I
won’t be going away, though. I will still be producing some kind of
content on my own and for the new sites. Until then, I thank all of you
from the bottom of my heart. Live long and prosper, and may the Force be
with you.
-------
This is your all inclusive source for Lost actor appearances. From the largest con to the smallest book signing, we will bring them to you.
There are endless lists of conventions on the internet, but there has never been one place to go to find actor appearances, until now. The actors and actresses are listed in alphabetical order. Their role and in which episode they appeared is listed below their names and the picture is their most recognizable role. This will be updated as often as I can. If you have any listings to add, please e-mail me at chairface1@humanoid.net.
